Change --- the one thing that pundits tell us we can always depend on. They say, we might as well embrace it because it will happen, whether we like it or not.
We've seen a lot of change in our industry in the last few years. Or, maybe you're just starting out and wondering what this industry is all about.
Our professional association has been the guiding light for me over the years I've been in this industry. When I joined the association, the seminars I attended helped me gain confidence in dealing with people and learning how to pose and light clients. During the transfer to the digital age, I could not have made the conversion and dealt with all the technical stuff without all the seminars sponsored by our association. Also, working with a new business model based on a new set of parameters was no easy trick, and here, again the seminars available helped me set that new model. Attending seminars and conventions, as well as talking with fellow members has helped my business immensely. |
By getting involved in a professional association, you give yourself a boost up to the next level in all aspects of your business. At this point in my business, I have different needs than I did when I started. There are always people entering and exiting the profession so we endeavor to serve the needs of all our members. Our executive have varied backgrounds and different types of businesses. The differing backgrounds allow for a wider variety of inputs into the mix of talent we source for our seminars and educational events.
PPOC-Saskatchewan exists to ensure that our members are informed, educated and business savvy to meet the challenges we all face in our ever-changing environment.
